Pet Grooming for Dogs & Cats in the Rocklin, Roseville, & Loomis, CA Area

Grooming Photo

Pet grooming is good pet hygiene that can help your cat or dog look better and feel more comfortable. Grooming can also help detect parasites, such as fleas and ticks, and facilitate early detection of medical conditions involving the skin, ears, and coat. You may even wish to consider combining your pet’s annual wellness exam with a visit to the groomer for a bit of extra pampering after their check-up. We routinely schedule grooming appointments for pets boarding at Rocklin Road Animal Hospital. Contact our office for additional information about combining grooming services with other pet care appointments.

As a veterinary hospital, we are able to offer pet sedation when necessary, to ease the stress associated with blow dryers, clippers, and pressurized water while being groomed. Because this requires medication administered or prescribed by the doctor, please talk to our receptionists about setting up this type of appointment.

Our Professional Groomer

Professional groomer Janice Wagg has been grooming dogs and cats for over 30 years, joining the team at Rocklin Road Animal Hospital in 1998. Currently, Janice schedules grooming appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and the first Saturday of each month. To schedule a grooming appointment, please call our hospital at 916.624.8255. Occasionally, Janice will offer grooming services on other days, especially during the holiday season. Please contact our office well in advance of a holiday to take advantage of these added grooming hours.

Usually, pets are dropped off for their appointment in the morning. For those clients who have an early work schedule, Janice can accept drop-offs before our usual hospital hours. Please call ahead to make this type of arrangement. Once grooming is completed, pets may be picked up any time before the hospital closes at 6:00 pm.

For the safety of your pet, we require that certain vaccines are up to date for any dog or cat that stays for grooming, boarding, or other services. Current clients of Rocklin Road Animal Hospital will have vaccination records on file—all other grooming clients must present records prior to grooming. Please contact us for more information about this.

And in between visits to Janice, enjoy this article from the Pet Health Center at WebMD about grooming your favorite feline.
